Copper is an extremely important mineral for the body’s equilibrium. It is important to note that the copper of which we are speaking is an organic form of copper at a low dosage that is used as a trace element.
This mineral performs important actions in numerous enzymatic reactions within the human body. It has a potent anti-infection force, aids in hormonal regulation (especially in the thyroid gland and for menstruation regulation), defends against allergies and has a strong anti-degenerative and anti-tumoral action.
Suggested products
We usually recommend a highly absorbable preparation, such as Copper oxyprolinates in liquid form (Driatec).
Dosage
The standard dosage is 2,5 ml per day. It’s often useful to combine the use of Copper with that of Zinc and Manganese, as in the product Manganese Copper Zinc (Driatec).
The dosage for children (from 6 to 12 years) is half of the adult’s dosage. The dosage for smaller children is 10-15 drops (0,5-0,75 ml) of the product to be diluted in water or juice or given along with food. As described below, in the case of acute infection this dose may be repeated throughout the day (3-4 times) until the symptoms subside.
It must be emphasized that Copper immediately stimulates the elimination of phlegm (which is usually swallowed). It is therefore possible that, at the beginning of treatment, persons with sensitive stomachs may have nausea due to the presence of secretions in the gastric area. This phenomenon passes after a few uses.
In particular cases, such as an acute cold or in the case of acute infectious forms (tracheo-bronchitis, cystitis), copper can be extremely helpful. The treatment consists of 5-6 doses per day for the 2-4 days that are necessary for recovery.
