Gabriele Piuri was born in 1985 and is currently in his fifth year of medical school at the Università degli studi in Milan. He is perfectly on schedule with his courses and has been able to maintain an excellent grade average while at the same time working with SMA Servizi Medici Associati. He is in his last year of studies at the Aiki Shiatsu Kyokai in order to become a shiatsu therapist. In this center he is deepening his knowledge of traditional Chinese Medicine with the prospect of going on to study acupuncture. It’s not hard to understand how these interests have found a fertile ground in a structure like SMA that is always receptive to integration and where Chinese medicine and acupuncture are regularly used.
At this time, Piuri is learning about the themes related to the clinical use of Australian Bush Flowers and to the possibilities for communication offered by the PNL (Neuro-Linguistic Programming) in the relationship between doctor and patient.
He contributes to the magazine for runners, Correre in the new section: “Correre & Vita” (Running and Life). This column investigates the possibilities for achieving well being that are offered by natural medicine for athletes as well as for those people who practice sport for health purposes.
