The following outline provides an alphabetical listing of the foods to avoid because of their obvious or possible partial content of nickel.

The second chart provides a listing of the most common foods that can be valid alternatives during the days in which nickel should be excluded from the diet.

Remember that it's always a good idea to start every meal with raw fruit and/or vegetables.

Cereal flakes (no corn, oats, millet, buckwheat)
Crisp bread made with various flours (no corn, oats, millet, buckwheat)
Crushed-ice drinks
Extra virgin olive oil, used raw
Muesli (without raisins or oily nuts)
Plain bread without toppings
Rice hardpan
Single seed oils, used raw
Sorbets
Sweets made with butter
Zabaione

One more thing... be careful with these products!

In addition to all metal objects, which people with nickel intolerance know from personal experience (lingerie clasps, zippers, metal buttons, costume jewelry...), here is a list of products that often contain nickel.
