Although milk proteins are useful in a balanced diet, unfortunately their stimulating action on insulin that continues to be observed in clinical situations as well as in specific studies.
The recent appearance in sports magazines of articles proposing dairy products as a solution to the problem of obesity forces us to reflect on the probable commercial origin of these false communications.
While milk proteins are useful in a balanced diet, unfortunately their stimulating action on insulin continues to be observed in clinical situations as well as in specific studies.
To this regard we cite an article that appeared on the American Journal of Clinical Nutrition (Nilsson M et al, Am J Clin Nutr 2004 Nov;80(5):1246-53) in which researchers studied the particular tendency of milk and cheese proteins to cause an insulin secretion that was higher than that of other protein groups.
This fact signals that the systematic consumption of milk and dairy products may facilitate hyperinsulinism, and therefore not only the development of diabetes, but of all of the inflammatory (for example acne) or degenerative (tumor forms and cancer) pathologies that have recently been related to the abundant use of dairy products.
In consideration of this data, all of the strategies that help to regulate insulin fluctuation, like the GIFT diet , physical exercise, and the use of chrome, magnesium or other supplements can help us to reap the benefits of milk without being harmed by it.
