Milk intolerance and yeast intolerance are linked to precise symptoms of fatigue. Therefore, a person who is hypersensitive to milk and yeast experiences an intense and lasting decline in energy due to a generalized intestinal inflammation that steals strength and immunity to the body.
There are other signs: abundant mucus (especially in children), with colds and recurrent otitis, frequent fungal infection, such as candidiasis, vaginitis, mycosis, or certain chronic lung issues, intestinal disorders (colitis or constipation), linked to the local inflammatory condition and to the alteration of the intestinal flora. This is often reflected on the skin (acne, psoriasis, seborrhoeic dermatitis, sun rash) and on body fat, which tends to accumulate in the abdominal zone.
Moreover, together with the tiredness, the body experiences a sort of “drunkenness”, typical of yeast intolerance, that decreases physical and mental sharpness.
What does “avoiding milk and yeast” mean?
Avoiding milk means avoiding all milk of animal origin (cow, goat, sheep, skimmed, predigested...) and related products such as yogurt, whey, cheese, butter, cream, ice cream. It's important to pay special attention to industrially prepared foods as well since many of them contain milk as an ingredient.
Concerning yeast, ingredients labels don't help: you also need to avoid mushrooms, alcoholic beverages, and honey. If you place a mixture containing flour in the oven, even if it doesn't contain yeast, the flour will ferment anyway. As well, if you leave fruit cocktails and juices too long in the refrigerator you'll find them fermented.
How can a person manage the milk and yeast diet?
You'll be pleased to know that there are many delicious alternatives available. Besides mushrooms, you can eat all fruits and vegetables. You can also eat meat, fish, fresh eggs and cold cuts (with a few exceptions). There are vegetable milks, too: made from almonds, rice, soy, chestnuts, oats...some can be readily found in form of yogurt or ice cream. Pasta, rice, potatoes and polenta are also allowed.
