Osteoporosis:the vicious circle of drugs for fragile bones PDF Print E-mail

Greetings.
After an orthopedic consultation, I was prescribed the following medicines: alendronate (Actunel) and calcium (Tonacal). I read that these drugs can unfortunately cause side effects such as gastro-intestinal problems. I suffer from intense gastro esophageal reflux, even though I take medicine to protect my stomach walls. My question is this: what homeopathic remedy may I take for my osteoporosis?
Thank you in advance for your kind attention.

Dearest reader,

First of all it's important to find out whether you really do have osteoporosis. In a recent article, we explained how a diagnosis of osteoporosis in Italy today is never denied to anyone. One of the biggest problems has to do with the terms of comparison used to evaluate our bones' health: when we use a "young healthy adult male" as a model, the greater part of women over 50 can be considered osteoporotic. It's obvious that there are differences between a young and strong subject and a person who is well over 20.

Osteoporosis is a complex problem. A situation like the one described above would benefit much more from naturopathic aid than it would from a simple homeopathic remedy. Most of all it's important to understand how a healthy diet and aerobic physical activity can improve a condition like osteoporosis in a considerable way.

Allow us to make an appraisal of all of the medicines that you're taking at this time: each one impairs the action of the others in a vicious circle,

Calcium makes you allergic, the alendronate causes gastro-esophageal reflux and the antacids for your stomach encourage the insurgence of food intolerances that in turn contribute to the development of osteoporosis.

Somewhere along the line you need to stop this vicious circle. You need to act on a global holistic level and start again from a different level of personal stimuli and modification of your vital inclinations.

Cordially,

Gabriele Piuri and dr. Attilio Speciani
