Do-it-yourself hyposensitizing treatment for nickel PDF Print E-mail
by Medical Staff

Good morning Doctor,
Two years ago I discovered that I was allergic to nickel. Two patches of eczema had formed behind my neck (caused by necklaces, etc.) and under my navel where the skin came into contact with the belt buckle. I have used every type of cream imaginable, but with scarce results; the patches improve a little, but as soon as I eat or come into contact with something that contains nickel, the eczema returns. At this point I'm tired of using ointments that contain cortisone: Isn't there anything that I can take orally to solve or improve my problem?
On internet I read that you can train the body to assimilate nickel using an apple and staples ( the ones containing large amounts of nickel). You stick the staples into the apple and eat it very slowly (the acid contained in the fruit absorbs the nickel). Is this possible?
I'd appreciate any comments or suggestions that you might have on this matter. My sincere thanks.

Dear Reader,

To begin with, let's try to modify your concept of allergy . At this moment you experience your reactivity to nickel as a sort of misfortune that you can't do anything about besides limiting your contact with it as much as possible or by dousing the symptoms with a cortisone ointment. On the contrary, the allergy must be seen as an alarm signal that must be understood in order to return the body to a balanced state.

In cases such as this, we need to investigate any possible delayed food allergies (food intolerances) and proceed with the planning of a weekly rotational diet. In contrast with an elimination diet, a rotational diet drawing from the methods used in the weaning process allows for the recovery of immune tolerance . Therefore, the first thing to do is to make a careful examination of your personal food choices.

On of the most effective therapies is the low dosage hyposensitizing vaccine for nickel. By way of the DRIA Test, we can establish the correct concentration. In simple terms, by taking a small quantity of nickel each day, you can stimulate your immune system to regain tolerance. This principle is not so far from that used in a "stapled apple".

The use of an apple (or practically any other fruit) in order to extract a metal and convert it into readily assimilable organic composites isn't a new idea. Many people have probably heard of a spiked apple used in the case of anemia. The principle is the same: by way of organic oxidization, the apple is able to transform the mineral into an organic compound (thus making it assimilable) by linking it to various composites within the fruit itself. For the most common type of contact dermatitis, it's often sufficient to insert some staples (rich in nickel ) directly into the fruit so that a very small amount of organic nickel is transferred into the pulp.

By eating the prepared apple (or a portion of it) every day, you ingest a small quantity of nickel which acts as a low dosage vaccine and encourages tolerance recovery just like a low dosage hyposensitizer.

Let's not forget that the apple itself also plays an important role in aiding tolerance recovery. One of the most important ways of regaining immune tolerance is to eat a small piece of raw and plain fruit or vegetable before every meal. The immune system activates itself against the piece of fruit, recognizing it to be fresh and vital and therefore potentially dangerous. However, after a few moments, it realizes that it's innocuous and induces tolerance with regard to that fruit. What's more, fruit and vegetables are extremely rich in panallergens (the allergens are molecules that are recognized by the immune system, while the suffix "pan" indicates that they are contained in all edible foods) and therefore it simultaneously stimulates tolerance for all of the food that one might eat.

This mechanism that we refer to with the motto "raw, fresh and colorful" makes the stimulus brought about by the small quantity of nickel in the "stapled apple" even more significant.

In conclusion, your goal must be to regain tolerance to nickel through more effective nutritional strategies and the use of natural remedies that induce tolerance.

Cordially,
