Turmeric (Curcuma longa) is an extremely interesting substance and we believe that within a short time our knowledge of the effects of this tuber can only grow. The therapeutic actions that have already been determined are:

  1. anti-inflammatory action;
  2. anti-tumoral action (turmeric inactivates the transcription of NFK b);
  3. anti-Alzheimer action;
  4. anti-allergic reaction (induces the production of all inflammatory interleukins);
  5. modulates the immune system ( in some cases it stimulates antibody production);
  6. stimulates digestion and bile secretion.

The product is available in 450 mg capsules containing 300 mg of standardized root extract (95% of curcuminoids) and 150 mg. of pulverized whole root.

The product that we generally recommend is Fitocurcuma capsules (produced by Solgar) because of the standardization of the preparations that they provide.

The standard treatment is 1 or 2 capsules per day, to be taken on a full stomach (preferably after breakfast and dinner) for the period prescribed by the therapist.

The duration of the treatment may be extended, but after a month of therapy medical advice should be sought.

During acute phases, the patient may take up to 3 capsules per day for brief periods. The product should be taken on a full stomach.

This product should not be taken during pregnancy or while breastfeeding.
