This product is available in capsules or tablets ranging from 200 to 400 mg per capsule or tablet (depending on the company).

The product that we generally recommend is Devil’s Claw (Harpagophytum procumbens) capsules produced by Solgar because of the standardized characteristics of the preparations.

Dosage

A standard treatment could be in the form of 3 capsules per day, to be taken on a full stomach for the period prescribed by the therapist.

Tincture (Tintura madre or TM) is just as effective as capsules or tablets and can be taken according to the standard dosage of 30 drops diluted in a small amount of water from 2 to 3 times a day.

Duration

The duration of the treatment can be lengthened, but it is best to seek a doctor’s advice before taking this remedy for more than one month..

During the acute phases, a patient can take from 5 to 6 capsules a day or 50 drops, 4 times a day for brief periods. This remedy should be taken on a full stomach.

This preparation should not be used during pregnancy or while nursing.
