A Bach Flower remedy can be selected and prepared by a floral therapist or mixed according to personal preference at a pharmacy or herbalist’s shop.

The 30 ml dropper bottle is prepared by diluting 2 to 3 drops of pure essence from each flower. The solution in which the essences are dissolved must be prepared with 75% water and 25% rum, brandy or cognac.

Each mixture should contain no more than 6 flowers per bottle in order to enhance the effect of the individual essences.

The use of these substances requires constancy and at least 4 drops must betaken 4 times per day. The drops must be placed under the tongue and held there for a few seconds before swallowing.

The following is a possible example of daily treatment:

  1. Upon waking, 10 minutes before breakfast;
  2. At midday, on an empty stomach;
  3. In the afternoon, between 5 and 6 p.m., on an empty stomach;
  4. In the evening, before bed;

Continue with this therapy until the entire bottle has been consumed (usually about 1 month).

The essences may be taken by anyone, regardless of age. There is no risk of overdose. No side effects have been reported, even when the wrong essence has been chosen.

Experiences related up to now indicate that the effectiveness of the essences is not influenced when used together with other medicines.
