Italian DRIA testing centers PDF Print E-mail
by Editorial Staff

The following is a guide to the DRIA testing centers in Italy that conform to the operational norms that were studied and laid out by ADRIA (Associazione di Ricerca Intolleranze Alimentare - Association for Research on Food Intolerances - which is no longer active) and are prescribed by SMA - Associated Medical Services of Milan today.

The list includes affiliated and scientifically collaborating Centers that have already completed the formation process as well as those that are completing this process.

Each center is autonomous but adheres to a yearly obligation to conform to the scientific and operative directives studied together with SMA Milan, so as to guarantee operational uniformity among the various structures.

DRIA Centers in development

The following are affiliated Centers that are completing the programs of theoretical and practical training that make up the formation process.

The tests that they perform cannot be legally considered "DRIA tests" but their operational capacity is of a high level and they can be of valid support or aid to persons seeking doctors who are well versed in the field of disturbances linked to food intolerances.

Please note that sometimes unaffiliated personnel offer so-called "DRIA tests" and claim to be associated with the SMA Srl staff.

However, the only health centers that perform the DRIA test in accordance with the appropriate scientific standards are those listed on this page and updated periodically,

Notice

Centers and medical professionals who wish to become affiliated with SMA may receive information by clicking here or may contact the SMA office directly.

We would like to point out some of the most important characteristics of these centers:

  • Interpretation of data in a uniform manner;
  • Therapy programs that do not make use of dangerous elimination diets;
  • Rapid re-education of immune tolerance by way of appropriate rotational diets;
  • Food profiles that are continually updated in order to keep up with the most recent scientific developments.

Please remember that any allergy test, especially if non-conventional, must be interpreted by a doctor who personally handles the resulting clinical and therapeutic questions.
